The Ski Boonie
Columbia Ski Club
September 2007
How
about another one of those winery/social outings at the Summit Lake Winery
overlooking beautiful Highway “54”???
This time, it’s next Sunday the 26th. at 6pm or so. Music on the patio, or if the weather
doesn’t cooperate, there’s the coolness of the inside area. Yep it’s the last Sunday of August and pretty
soon, the carpool arrangements will be getting done for those interesting
drives across that wonderful state to the west. Makes for good get-acquainted or re-familiarization times. As a coincidence, that’s what’s in store for
next Sunday at the winery. No, not any
carpools but the social time once more.
Come out and if you’re interested in the two trips we have set up, bring
your checkbook!
The Power
of Four…..again!
17 folks have
heeded the plea for early reservations on December’s Aspen trip, with plenty of
those studio bedroom units being taken.
So, if you want to go, simply make the initial deposit and you’ll be on
the list. It’s booked for 48 folks, but there will be a cut-down coming pretty
quick and those rooms won’t be able
to be added back. Four days early
skiing in Aspen; four different mountains; five nights in one of the best ski
towns in Colorado, and all this for $565.
This one is popular with the club.
I still need the input on 2br reservations vs. the studio units (got 6
of these so far for a bit more room and privacy at the same rate). Plan on going to ski and board the Power of
Four Mountains and get your deposits with me soon, as in at the winery on
Sunday. This will also be at the tail
end of the World Cup Skiing taking place in Aspen.
